If you're researching DIGIT before a first call, you're doing the right thing — vetting an offshore partner before signing anything matters more than any pitch we could give you. Here's what we'd actually want a Canadian prospect to know.
Who We Are
DIGIT is a software development company founded in 2016, based in Gujranwala, Pakistan — not affiliated with any telecom or mobile brand of a similar name, and not a Saudi or UAE-registered entity despite some naming overlap with local firms in those markets. We've delivered 1,000+ projects for 250+ clients internationally, with a portfolio spanning web apps, mobile apps, AI/LLM systems, and enterprise SaaS.
What We've Actually Shipped
Rather than asking you to take our word for it, look at the work directly: DocuMind AI (RAG-powered legal document intelligence), InvoiceBot (automated invoice processing), and Smart School ERP (multi-tenant SaaS serving 120+ schools) are all real, named projects — not composite case studies. Ask for references on any of them.
What Contract Protection Actually Looks Like
Every engagement starts with a mutual NDA and IP assignment agreement, explicitly assigning all code, designs, and documentation to the client — not a vague ownership clause. We can work from a Canadian client's own legal templates, or provide ours for your legal team to review before signing anything.
The Honest Tradeoffs of Hiring Us From Canada
Timezone: Pakistan (PKT, UTC+5) and Eastern Canada (EST, UTC-5) are a genuine 10-hour offset — we don't pretend otherwise. What works in practice is a structured live overlap window (Pakistan's evening into your morning) plus async written updates, not full-day real-time availability. If your project genuinely needs all-day live collaboration, that's a real reason to look elsewhere.
Cost savings are real: 40–60% versus typical Canadian agency rates for equivalent seniority, which is the actual reason offshore development exists as an option worth considering, not a claim we're making up.
In-person meetings aren't part of the offer: if your project needs regular on-site presence, we're not the right fit — we'd tell you that directly rather than pretend otherwise.
How to Actually Evaluate Us
Ask for references on a project similar in scope to yours, ask to see our contract templates before committing, and start with a smaller discovery sprint before a large engagement if you're not sure yet. We'd rather earn a bigger project by delivering a small one well than ask you to trust a pitch.
